| Sale of Membership Any member wishing to sell his/her membership in the club should follow this procedure. 1. Submit a letter of resignation or intent to sell to the membership chairperson, being sure to include your membership number and the address to which you wish payment to be made. 2. Retain membership certificate and cards until advised to return them to the membership chairperson. In the case of those members selling their membership to the purchaser of their home, the procedure is the same, except that the letter of intent to sell should include the name of the purchaser and state that the membership is being sold with the house. A completed membership application from the purchaser should also accompany the above listed so that the transaction may be readily completed. Also, a member may sell his/her membership to prospective buyers, identified by the member, without regard to a waiting list. However, this transaction must take place with the approval and under supervision of the Board of Directors or their assignees. The cost of the membership to the buyer shall be par value plus the current initiation fee as of the date of the sale. The fee received by the seller shall not exceed the par value of $350.00. 3. There is a $50.00 Transfer fee paid by the purchaser. Temporary Membership In order for a temporary member to become an active member, the stock certificate must be purchased directly from the swim club membership chairperson and not from an individual sale. |
