Rules and Regulations
The following rules and regulations have been established by the Board of Directors for the protection and benefit of all members and their guests, and to ensure safe and sanitary operation of the Club facilities. The manager on duty and lifeguards are authorized to enforce and ensure all rules are followed, as approved by our Board of Directors in accordance to our By-Laws. Our Rules and Regulations may be changed, when necessary, at the discretion and by direction of the Directors.
Operating Hours
- The pool will be open when temperature is at least 70 degrees.
- Daily 12 – 9, Friday nights open until 10 thru August 1
- Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 11am., the pool is reserved for swim team use.
- Adults are welcome at 11am every day, children may NOT swim during the 11-12 time frame. Only babies in arms permitted.
- Pool will close at 3:00 on days we host Swim meets.
- Season ends on Labor day at 6pm.
- At least one manager and one lifeguard shall be on duty from opening until closing time based on crowd size.
- Rest periods are 45 minutes past the hour and are be 15 minutes, only those 18 and over are permitted in the pool.
- Babies in arms (under 2 yrs old) are permitted with parent.
- Kids must remain one block away from the pool edge during rest period.
- At the discretion of the manager on duty, adult swimming may be extended, shortened, or discontinued.
Our general guidelines for opening based on weather conditions:
- Delay opening until 2pm, OR
- Delay opening until 4pm when evening staff reports to work
- If we have not opened prior to 7pm, we will remain closed for the evening even if weather improves.
- If the pool has closed due to inclement weather, scheduled parties are cancelled.
- Lightning and thunder observed will clear the pool area for 30 minutes following either.
Lap Swimmers Early Opening
- Adult members may enter pool area every day at 10am for “sun time” with access to the pool at 11 or as soon as the vacuum hose is out of the way. We vacuum the swimming lanes and shallow end first, so lane lines will be accessible while we vacuum the diving well, so please be patient.
- Children are NOT permitted in the pool at 11 since guard staff is busy with cleaning/maintenance.
Wi-Fi
- We have 2 routers available, passcode is posted on the office window.
Conduct
- Always treat other members, guests, and staff with the same courtesy and respect you expect to receive.
- No running or rough play.
- Only soft bouncing balls are permitted in the pool, absolutely no basketballs are to be thrown at any member, use the hoop!
- No smoking, vaping, or any use of tobacco products.
- No cursing, obscene or abusive language.
- Our guards and managers are not daycare providers. Parents/guardians (or recognized caregivers on a pass), are responsible for supervising minor children at all times, and ensuring they comply with Club Rules.
Health and Safety
- All commonly recognized rules of sanitation and safety shall be observed.
- Admission to the pool may be refused to anyone with non-waterproof bandages or visible signs of illness.
- Children who are not toilet trained must wear an approved swim diaper to enter the baby pool or main pool.
- Regular diapers, disposable or cloth, are not permitted in the poo
General Rules
- Absolutely no glass containers of any kind within the fenced pool area.
- No balls are permitted under the awning to prevent breaking light bulb glass or hitting CCTV cameras.
- Lounge chairs are reserved for adult members, on busy days, kids are expected to give up their chair.
- Inflatables may be used at the discretion of the lifeguards and/or the manager on duty, lifeguards must be have visible sight-lines to all areas of the pool.
- No aluminum or wood bats are permitted in the pool area.
- Pool toys which may cause harm to other members are prohibited. Absolutely no metal or hard plastic objects are allowed in the pools. Lifeguards have authority to determine risk and can require any toy/object to be removed from the pool.
- Drinks are permitted to be consumed on or by the pool ledge by adults only, within arm’s reach to the ledge.
- Use of the baby pool shall be limited to children four years of age or younger.
- Children in the baby pool must be supervised 100% of the time by an accompanying adult (lifeguards do not monitor the baby pool).
- Personal/Bluetooth speakers are not allowed. Devices that play music/sound must be used with earbuds or headphones.
- Rule of Thumb = your neighbor should not be able to hear your music.
Diving Boards and Diving Well
- One person only on a diving board. The next person in line must remain on the deck until the diver has jumped off the board.
- Do not jump off the boards until the previous diver has exited the water.
- No sitting on the boards.
- Diver must jump straight off the end, not to either side.
- After diving, the swimmer shall immediately proceed to the side of the pool nearest the diving board and exit the pool using the ladder.
- No toys, goggles, flippers, life jackets (PFD), noodles or flotation devices (inflatables) are permitted on diving boards
- Parents/adults may not catch children diving off boards (they may be in the water, near the pool ledge, to assist their child after they jump off the board).
- Swimming in the dive well is not permitted unless the lifeguard has closed the boards.
Discipline
- The manager on duty and lifeguards have authority to enforce Club rules and may command any individual on Club property to comply with Club rules.
- Violation of the Rules and Regulations may result in disciplinary actions (e.g. verbal warnings, timeouts (for minors), temporary suspensions, and season suspensions), dependent upon the frequency and severity of the infraction(s). The Discipline Policy will be strictly enforced. The Primary Account Holder will be notified if a member on their account is being disciplined.
Discipline Policy
- First infraction will result in a warning.
- Second infraction (same offense within the same day) may result in being suspended for remainder of the day, parent will be notified.
- Third infraction (same offense within the same season) may result in three day suspension, parent will be notified.
- Repeated discipline issues may result in suspension for the remainder of the season.
- Suspensions will not result in membership or guest fee reimbursement of any kind.
- Pool Manager or the Board of Directors retains authority to administer discipline without regard to the three-offense policy, particularly in matters of member/staff safety, damage to Club property, and illegal misconduct (e.g. vandalism, theft, assault, underage drinking, and illegal drug use).
- All complaints are to be directed to the manager on duty (NOT the lifeguards or other staff members).
- Damage to Club Property: Responsible members will be financially responsible for costs incurred due to damage to Club property. The Board of Directors will make the decision to repair or replace damaged items. *Sponsoring members will be financially responsible for damage caused by their guests.
- Club property and equipment shall not be removed from the premises unless express permission of the Pool Manager and/or Board of Directors. Failure to return any borrowed items by the date established by the Pool Manager and/or Board of Directors will result in replacement costs at the responsibility of the borrowing member
Babysitter Passes, Caregivers
- A member may purchase a babysitter/caregiver pass for $50 at the office. This pass is a courtesy to members and is intended to be used only when the parents/guardians cannot be present with their minor child(ren) when at the Club.
- Babysitters must be at least 14 years old, and can enter the Club only with the child(ren) they are charged to care for, per the membership account. Caregivers do not have permission to use the Club on their own
Unaccompanied Minors (members)
- Children who have not reached their ninth birthday and passed our swimming test may not enter the pool unless accompanied by an adult or responsible caregiver, age 14 or older (membership rules apply

The Board of Directors may designate other closing times for special events. Notification will be posted in advance.
What are the rules for bringing a guest?
Guest Rules
- All guests must be logged in at the front desk and the guest fee paid before entering.
- If the member signing in the guest leaves, so must the guest.
- There will be no credits or IOU’s, check or cash for guest fee.
- Guests are limited to 10 entries into the club per season.
- Conduct of guests is the direct responsibility of the sponsoring member.
- Management has authority to deny entry to any guest exceeding 10 occurrences regardless of which member signed them in as guest.
- NO GUESTS ARE PERMITTED ON LABOR DAY, JULY 4TH, LABOR DAY
House guest
- Anyone being entertained at and visiting in the home of a member for the day. Includes guests in swim wear “just going to lie in the sun”
- Cost: $10.00 or $5.00 after 5pm
Non-swimming guest:
- Anyone who is attired in street clothes or non-swim wear who is admitted to the pool area.
- Cost: $5.00
Weekly Guests:
- A family who is visiting in the home of a member and is remaining for one week or less. Covers the entire family.
- Cost: $50.00 per week
Guest Limitations:
- Children under 18 are limited to 2 guests per day Monday – Friday
- Children under 18 are not permitted to bring guests on Saturday & Sunday and holidays.
- Adult members shall be limited to 4 guests per day.
Babysitters:
- Members who are babysitting children of non-members will be required to pay the standard guest fees for those children.
How do I reserve patio tables for birthday parties?
To make a reservation, please follow these steps:
- Sign up for a party at the front desk.
- We will need to know how many guests are expected, and whether we are collecting their guest fee or keeping count for YOU to pay.
- No more than 2 parties may be reserved at overlapping times.
- No more than 20 guests are permitted for each party.
- Adults must be present for the entire time period.
- Member making the reservation is responsible for all cleaning of tables, deck, removal of all tape, etc.
- Cleaning supplies are available from the snack bar.
WE WILL NO LONGER HOST ANY TEAM OR CLASS PARTIES OF ANY KIND.
Can I have a personal speaker?
Personal Speaker Policy
- Personal Speakers are not permitted.
- Please use earbuds if you choose to listen to your own music while at the pool.
- Rule of Thumb = your neighbor should not be able to hear your music.
Can I bring alcohol to the pool?
Alcohol Policy
- All alcohol consumed on OCSC grounds must be done discreetly, with the use of containers with lids, or in koozies, so that when alcohol is being consumed, nobody should be able to tell that you are drinking alcohol. Koozies are available for purchase in the office for $2.
- Due to risk of hazard, glass containers are strictly always prohibited within the fenced area.
- Drinks are permitted to be consumed on or by the pool ledge by adults. Drinks may be consumed by the pool ledge or while in the pool within arm’s reach to the ledge. No drinks may be carried around in the water.
- Any containers left on the pool deck unattended will be removed by staff.
- No food is allowed in the pool at any time.
- One member’s consumption of alcohol must not materially or substantially affect any other member’s, guest’s, or staff’s experience at the pool.
- Disorderly conduct and visible intoxication will not be tolerated.
- Members must be of legal age to consume alcohol.
- Any underage member found to be consuming alcohol will be immediately suspended for 3 days and warned that a repeat infraction will result in the forfeiture of membership for the entire family.
- Problems stemming from violation of these policies will be met with either suspension or forfeiture of membership.
